I've just finished reading your and Ted Pattison' book Inside WSS and I can say without any doubts that this is the best resource on WSS there is. Finally a book which goes into detail which is so desperately lacking in other books or official documentation. I'm giving it 10 out of 10!!

P.S One question. I have created a custom content type (based on CAML definition not from WSS UI) with custom site column (just simple choice column, no custom type). The content type works fine in wss and with auto-generated DIP in Office applics but when I try to create a custom Document Info Panel for this content type , infopath throws error "Catastrophic failure".  The same thing happens when I create the content type from WSS UI and add my CAML defined site column. It also happens when I use one of the custom site column definitions in your book. It doesn't happen when I define the site column from WSS UI. So it seems there is some problem with the custom site column definition. Did you try to create a DIP for one of the content types (chapter 6) in your book? Did you experince the same problem?
